Josephious Morrow, Jr. was born January 22, 1933 in Nettleton, Mississippi to the union of the late Josephious Morrow, Sr. and Ina (Bogan) Morrow. He was the fourth child out of 11 children.

Josephious professed his faith and hope in Christ at an early age of fifteen and attended the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Nettleton, Mississippi.

Josephious was educated and a graduate of Wren Consolidated School in Wren, Mississippi. His professional career with Boeing was for thirty -one years of dedicated service. He retired from his professional labor in 1997.

Josephious joined Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in 1974, under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Ronal C. Bridewell. He was a faithful member, who served as the Church Janitor, Food Pantry Volunteer, CMBC Bus Driver, Senior Usher, and a Dedicated Deacon, until his health began to fail. As a faithful servant to the Body of Christ, he was highly dependable and always cheerful to assist within the church.

Josephious was a devoted husband, to the Late Annie Lo Morrow, whom he loved very dearly and often referred to her as ”His Sugar”. He was a faithful companion, who honorably lived out his vow of, for richer or poorer, through sickness and health, to death did them part.

Josephious was a loving and caring father. He provided unwavering support to his children in all their endeavors. He exemplified before his sons a high level of commitment and loyalty to the tasks set before them, as fathers. His favorite quote to his sons was, “They call you the young, because you’re strong, and they call us the old, because we know the way.” His heart of commitment as father was exhibited in his special relationship, with his only daughter, Mary. He was her number one sponsor to her many life’s accomplishments.

Josephious’ eye had a “sparkle” that outshined the sun, when he was in the company of his grandchildren. He was very supportive and had a huge giving heart towards them all. He had a great sense of humor when it came to his grandchildren; there was always a laugh in his voice. He always enjoyed seeing his grandchildren as they smiled, ran to the door to greet him, and laugh as they imitated him. His bond with his grandchildren was rooted in “grand” love.

He leaves to cherish his memory: five sons and one daughter; Terry (Carmen) Morrow, Perry (LaTanya) Morrow of St. Louis, MO. Mary Ann Morrow of Huntsville, AL. James (Vanessa) Morrow, of St. Louis, MO. Floyd (Tyrona) Morrow of Elizabethtown, KY. Elder Lloyd (Erika) Morrow of Huntsville, AL. One spiritual adopted son, Rev. Eric (Pamela) Hayes of St. Louis, MO. Three sisters, Sallie (Ethell) Dancer of Nettleton, MS; Ozella (James) Jones of Shannon, MS; and Magdelean Harris of Gary, IN; two brothers, Hosea Morrow of Amory, MS, and Marion (Emma Jena) Morrow of Tupelo, MS; Cousin/Brother, James Andrew Morrow of St. Louis, MO; three sisters-in-law Betty Morrow of St. Louis, MO, Gloria Morrow of Amory, MS, Lena Mae of Nettleton, MS; Seventeen grandchildren: Richard, Jade, Latosha, Sierra, Trayon, Terrance, Briona, Ambehr, Nicholas, James Jr., Brittney, Destin, Perry Jr., Tyrome, Haley, Suni and Myles; two spiritual adopted granddaughters Brandus Tobias and Candus Smith; eight great grandchildren; three Godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and many loving friends.
