Alex Gray

Alex Gray was born on July 28, 1929, in Richmond Heights, Missouri, to William Gray and Clara Wright Gray. He was the fifth child of seven born to this union. His parents, along with his siblings Firmin, Eugene, Russell, Roberta, Clemintine, and Eloise, and one grandson, preceded him in death.

At an early age, Alex confessed his hope in Christ as his Lord and Savior. He received his formal education at Washington Tech, where he met Ida B. Walker. They married on December 25, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, and to this union, two children were born: Denise Celeste Gray Clay and Keith A. Gray. His wife, Ida B. Gray, also preceded him in death.

Alex was an entrepreneur for twenty years as a small business owner. He also worked at Carson Oldsmobile dealership until his retirement. He had a love for swimming, automobiles, and music.

Alex departed this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children, grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
