Arby Muex was born on November 23, 1941, in Brownsville, Tennessee, to the late Abra and Allie B. Muex. He was the fifth of twelve children. On April 8, 2025, Arby was called home to our Heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Claudia Muex, Gloria Williams, and Emma Tyus; three brothers, J.D., Alvin, and Ernest; and a great-grandchild, Aubrieanna Muex.
Arby was joined in matrimony to Virginia Ann Currie, and to this union was born one daughter, Caroline D. Muex. He later married Fannie Lee Chamberlain, and from this union came one son, Aubrey Muex, Jr. Finally, in 1984, Arby married Muriel J. Johnson, and to this union was born a daughter, Audrey E. Muex.
Arby was dedicated to his family and was always there when you needed him. He was a hard worker who loved hunting with his brothers and nephews, and he had a special talent for crafting beautiful handmade items.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 40 years, Muriel Muex; two daughters, Caroline D. Muex of Rockford, IL, and Audrey E. Muex of St. Louis, MO; one son, Aubrey Muex, Jr. (Lisa) of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Pauline Byars (Clinton) of Brownsville, TN, and Murlene Jones of St. Louis, MO; three brothers, Freddie Muex of Brownsville, TN, John Muex of Ripley, TN, and James Muex (Reginia) of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Aubrey Muex III, Jaisyn Lee West, Kaylee Muex Jones, and Aubrey Taylor; one great-grandchild, Aubreon Muex; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
