Carmen Denise Smith was born on May 11, 1981, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to Denise Arrington. Raised in Saint Louis, she was lovingly nurtured by Mrs. Lillie Wilson and Mr. Sandy Wilson Jr.
Carmen graduated from Hazelwood Central High School and went on to become a devoted mother to three young men, whom she loved and supported with all her heart.
A vibrant spirit with an infectious smile, Carmen had a deep passion for helping and caring for others. As a graduate of the Hazelwood School District, she returned to work there, where her dedication and hard work earned her a promotion to safety officer after obtaining her security license from Saint Louis County. In this role, Carmen mentored countless young people, guiding and encouraging them in their pursuit of higher education. Through her unwavering support and wisdom, she made a lasting impact on many lives.
Carmen was deeply loved by her family, friends, and community. Her kindness and dedication will never be forgotten.
On November 16, 2024, Carmen was called home. She leaves behind cherished memories with her father, Mr. Sandy Wilson; her beloved sons, Deshawn Smith, William Paris, and Ramone Briscoe Jackson; and her extended family, including Dominic Arrington, Tony Arrington, aunts, uncles, and dear family friends.
Carmen’s legacy of love, kindness, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be truly missed but never forgotten.
