Lisa Cordelia Thurmond

August 18, 1957 — January 15, 2025

Lisa Cordelia Thurmond was born August 18, 1957 to the late Raymond S. Thurmond, Sr. and Annie Rean Thurmond in Saint Louis, Missouri. Her brother Raymond (Buster) Jr. and sister Beverly preceded her in death.

Lisa was baptized in the Catholic faith and attended St Bridget Catholic elementary school. Lisa graduated from Normandy High School. Lisa attended Tougaloo College (HBCU) in Mississippi for 3 years she transferred to Hickey College in Saint Louis, Missouri and graduated. After graduating Lisa accepted a job with the State of Missouri as a Case Worker Specialist for 37 years.

Lisa was an avid tennis player and played at different levels high school, college and recreational. Lisa had a lot of hobbies, she enjoyed scrapbooking, collecting baseball and baseball cards and medals. She like to attend plays, theater productions and going on Motorcoach trips to different cities and parks. Her most memorable trip was Yellowstone National Park.

Lisa had her way of living and expressing herself. Lisa lived life to the fullest her way not the way society expected her to live. Lisa was very independent, thoughtful, considerate, quiet but knowledgeable person. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Lisa leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her sweet memories her sisters, Phyllis, Deborah and Bridgette; her brothers, Wayne and Fritz; a wealth of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other dear relatives, co-workers and friends.
