WILLIAM DOUGLAS HINCH was born on June 26, 1963, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to Richard Theodore and Clarice Butler Hinch. He was christened and confirmed at LaSalle United Methodist Church and served in various youth ministries at Union Memorial United Methodist Church.
Bill attended and graduated from Saint Louis Country Day School and Dartmouth College, where he joined the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and sang in the Gospel Choir. He began his professional journey as a teacher in the Boston, Massachusetts area before pursuing a career in Human Resources. His career included roles at Motorola in Illinois and New Mexico, General Mills in Ohio and Minnesota, and Hunter Engineering in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Bill was both gregarious and generous, known for his quick wit and endless collection of hilarious stories. He died unexpectedly and far too soon on March 9, 2025.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Clarice (his father, Richard, preceded him in death); his siblings, Vickie Craig, David Hinch, and Clarissa Hinch; his nephews, Bryan Craig, Victor Craig, David Hinch II, Ahmad Hinch, and Ahmon Hinch (his nephew James preceded him in death); and a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and friends.
